Got a Goal – What’s the Plan?

What’s the Plan ?      EmilysQuotes.Com-fact-hit-target-see-know-goals-motivational-advice-intelligent-inspirational-Zig-Ziglar

I mean a genuine tangible plan, the road map that’s going to get you to your goal. Not the  “one day I’m going to win Lotto and live happily ever after in some exotic location” type. That’s not a plan, that’s hope! We can all live in hope but don’t waste your time relying on hope or luck to get you to your goal. That’s just plain dumb!

To quote James Cameron –

“Hope is not a strategy, luck is not a factor, fear is not an option”

So what is it you really want to achieve or improve that will take you to the next level?

Is it earn more money, retire early, maybe get your golf handicap in single figures, lose weight, get fit, travel the world, learn another language, be a better father or husband? Or is it something much bigger – complete a marathon, start a business, climb Mount Everest ?

Do you really believe you have the discipline and commitment? Ask yourself the question and give yourself an honest answer.

Do you have the required skills? What skills will you need to make your goal a reality? Do you need to upskill? How much practice or training will be required?

That all takes time, so do you manage your time effectively? It’s amazing what highly effective people cram into a day! Their time is usually results driven and not time wasted.

Do you have access to people who have successfully completed a similar goal? Don’t be afraid to ask for guidance. Most will happily share and offer their knowledge. I find I get so much motivation through talking and listening to what others have achieved or just how they live their lives, they are great role models. Unknowingly, they usually have set a benchmark for me that I try and maintain.

For so many people it’s easier to stay on the couch and just submit to a life of drudgery, just letting time slip by. Excuses, excuses – ” it’s too dark, it’s too cold, it’s too hot, it’s too hard, I’m not smart enough, blah blah blah.

My personal goals have me digging deep every week – I remind myself of the NIKE slogan “If it was easy, everyone would be doing it!”

But some of his proposals are already in the pipeline in the form of Vickers Commission’s buy cialis pills recommendations. Asides from this, one can take herbal supplements or home remedies such cheapest prices on cialis as bananas, honey, milk, saffron, dates, eggs, watermelon, ginger, onions and garlic to improve sexual power and stamina. Have faith in yourself – you can do it, stay with it. Don’t give up when you have a set back. If you are going to have a fall, and chances are you will, – fall forward as it’s much easier to get back up!

So – are you still keen? Remember a plan sets a path, it’s not set in concrete. It can change and it’s OK to make adjustments, the road always takes unexpected turns. The main thing is you’re on your way.

Remember, the windscreen is the size that it is, because that’s the future direction. Your rear view mirror is small in comparison. That’s where you’ve come from. It’s good to reflect but you can’t live in the past.

You just have to make a commitment to yourself. Stick to the plan and get moving.
