The Fragility of Life:
A few weeks ago a friend and fellow cricketer of MD’s (son and man’s-theorist) suffered an horrendous injury through the use of a large power tool. He was put in an induced Coma and by all reports was making progress, he had started to breathe on his own again.
This morning MD received a call sadly advising that the young man had passed away. This tragic event will touch many lives. MD tells me he was just a terrific guy, great fun to be around, would always step up to the plate when needed and loved playing the game of Cricket with his mates. Unfortunately, a young child has also lost their father.
A lot of my posts aim to communicate what is important in living a meaningful life and that we all struggle at times with issues that can drag us down – living a life can be a tough gig. Though, by focusing on what’s positive and keeping ourselves healthy, having some fun, loving and looking after yourself and your loved ones, keeping your mind stimulated through learning, having interests and exploring the wonders of the world and hanging out with interesting people can make a big difference in living a full and worthwhile life.
None of us – not one, know how long we have on this earth. Don’t waste your time on pointless things. Your time is precious make the most of it. Do your best to make a positive contribution in whatever you do. Don’t die with the music still in you.
There must be no worse a question to ask yourself in your final moments – what if I had? Life is not a dress rehearsal.

“Life is fragile, we’re not guaranteed a tomorrow. So give it everything you’ve got”
I never had the pleasure of meeting this young man but through his passing, it has strongly reminded me of the fragility of life. While you have it – don’t waste it! Time waits for no man.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.

Too true. I look back over my 83 years and count my blessings; a wonderful family and grandchildren that anyone would be proud of; and now great-graandchildren. And behind it all is a loving and caring wife of 58 years.
These are sad times Mitcch and Granma and I both feel for you and your mate’s family.
Just remember, there is a lesson to be learned in every event in this life, as your Dad would agree?
Thanks Jenny & Ken,
They’re wise words and ring very true.
Kind regards
